In my essay I tried to explain how print media has evolved over the years and how certain groups of people are getting involved in different ways. I touched on the subject of why do people read certain magazines and has magazine culture become a new sub-culture much like how there are groups of people that associate themselves with other people interested in clothe brands or a certain music genre. I moved this point on to talking about stereotypes and wether people who read certain magazines behaved in a certain way for example do they wear similar clothes and do similar things etc.
After thinking about how I could document this in the form of a piece of graphic design I came upon some illustrations that were looking at the way that people dressed, these were then titled with funny names that related too how they dressed. I liked this idea and thought that it could be applied in an similar way to the idea that I had already uncovered. ]
This links into my essay is two ways, the first is that I will be using a traditional method of printing to achieve the final outcome, whether this be screen printing or lino-cut I am unsure but I will be doing further research into these methods to see which is more appropriate. The second is that I will be able to link it into the magazine sun-culture that I have documented in my essay and the illustrations will be bringing to life what I have already spoken about in my essay.
Following this will be starting to further research designers and artist who practice in traditional printing and as well as this I will be research into designer/artists who come up with work that may in inspirational and help me to reach my final goal.
